Hernandez-Jenkins Turns In Improved Provo At Akron Last Chance Meet

Junior Aidan Hernandez-Jenkins opened the last chance portion of the 2026 outdoor track and field schedule with aplomb, turning in an improved provisional mark for NCAA Division II nationals in the men's hammer throw invite section at Akron's Last Chance meet on Wednesday (May 6) afternoon.

Hernandez-Jenkins' top heave of 60.00 meters/196-feet-10 on his first attempt marked the best distance for an Eagle men's hammer thrower this spring. He finished in sixth place.

Also at Akron on Wednesday, sophomore Alisha Hill took second place in the women's hammer throw at 50.55 meters/165-feet-10.
