The Ashland University track and field team capped off the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships with a runner-up finish.
The Eagles, competing on the road at Hayden Park on the campus of Hillsdale College, placed second in both the men's and women's team standings. The men finished behind the Tiffin University Dragons, 186.66 to 163, while the women came up just short of the Hillsdale College Chargers, 219.5 to 214.Â
Although Ashland was unable to capture a team title, the Eagles still secured numerous individual medal finishes and individual awards throughout the championship meet.
