The Ashland University women's lacrosse team is... MOVING ON!
On Thursday, April 30, the Eagles played host to the Walsh University Cavaliers from Jack Miller Stadium on the campus of Ashland University for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference championships, downing them in convincy fashion, 22-3. The victory pushes Ashland's winning streak to 11 in a row.
In the opening frame, the Eagles wasted no time taking control. They exploded for eight first-quarter goals to build a lead that would never be cut back on.
That momentum carried throughout the game, with Ashland leading 12-1 at halftime. They continued to tack on goals, hitting 23 in the dying embers of the fourth quarter.

Ashley Drexler followed her with four goals and three assists, while
Nataley Blackburn added a hat trick as well. Defensively, the Eagles held Walsh to just nine shots and three goals, with
Annie Duncan recording the win in net.
With the win in the semifinal round, Ashland now prepares for the G-MAC championship. That matchup will take place on Saturday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. EST from Jack Miller Stadium.
The Eagles will take on the winner of Tiffin University vs. the University of Findlay. Those two sides are facing on Thursday as well, but at 5:00 p.m. EST.
