Ashland Women's Lacrosse Beats Thomas More, 20-3, in Home G-MAC Clash

Eagles March the Saints Out of Town, Win Fifth-Straight Game

Make that five straight.

The Ashland University women's lacrosse team has been on a tear recently, taking down numerous teams en route to a five-game winning streak. The Eagles have now vaulted their way forward to an 8-4 overall record and 3-0 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

The most recent addition of success came on Thursday, March 26, when the Eagles played host to the Thomas More Saints, beating them, 20-3.

The Eagles wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for seven goals in the first quarter of play to take hold of the contest.

Ashland continued its offensive surge in the second, adding another seven goals to take a 14-0 lead into halftime and effectively put the game out of reach. They would go on to score six more goals with a running clock in the second half, giving up just three in the process.

To no surprise, offensively, Ashley Fisher led the way with four goals, with Rachel Crumbacher also putting up that many as well while dishing off two assists. Riley Walstrum also continued her impressive play as of late, dishing out three total assists.

Defensively, Annie Duncan locked down the goal, while also making her 400th career save. This season, she has been an anchor for the Eagles in between the pipes.

Ashland finished the game with 42 total shots, scoring 20 of their attempts.

The team's recent success has allowed them to stay undefeated in conference play as the heart of the 2026 season approaches.

Up next, the Eagles will prepare to take on the Tiffin University Dragons from Ferguson Field on Thursday, April 2, a week from today. The two sides will take the field for a G-MAC clash beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST.
