Ashland University's softball team now has a three-game winning streak following Florida wins over California (Pa.) and Grand Valley State on Thursday (March 12).

The Eagles (8-8), now 8-5 in the last 13 games, defeated the Vulcans, 10-6, then the Lakers for the second time down south, 1-0.

Against the Vulcans, Ashland rallied from a 4-0 deficit after a half-inning to win. With the score tied at 5, the Eagles put up their own four-run inning in the bottom of the fifth, capped off by a two-run single from senior second baseman
Danielle Robbins.

Amanda Kolar was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and redshirt freshman pitcher
Olivia Amstutz (3-1) scattered five hits, six runs (five earned) and six walks and struck out five in getting the complete-game win.

Delaney Lis (3-5) authored a complete-game five-hit shutout vs. GVSU, striking out one and walking four. The only run support she needed was a two-out RBI single from junior right fielder
Kate Kujawski in the top of the first.
