No. 18 AU Women To Open New Season With Two At Home

The No. 18-ranked Ashland University women's basketball team will open the 2026-27 season with two games at the Sherrill Hudson Court at Kates Gymnasium - late schedule addition Bluefield State on Wednesday (Nov. 11) at 5:30 p.m., then Lake Superior State at 2 p.m. on Nov. 15.

"What I like about adding Bluefield State is that it gets us to a full 28-game (regular-season) schedule," said Ashland head coach Kari Pickens. "All D-II in-region opponents, which always helps with the NCAA (Tournament). And I also like that I think it's time to play games. You can only practice for so long before your team, you can feel it, they're ready to play against other opponents."
