At Akron's Al Campbell Invitational on Friday (Jan. 16), Ashland University's men's and women's indoor track and field teams picked up four improved provisional marks for the 2026 NCAA Division II Championships in Virginia Beach, Va., on March 13-14.

Molly Winner took second place in the women's shot put elite with an improved provo distance of 16.02 meters/52-feet-6¾. Sophomore
Hayden Valenti was third in the men's weight throw elite at 19.37 meters/63-feet-6¾.

Carter Smith tied for fourth in the men's pole vault at 4.81 meters/15-feet-9¼, while sophomore
Ty Allen improved upon his previous provo in the men's 60 hurdles in the preliminaries with a time of 8.05 seconds.

- Sophomore Miranda Stone won the women's shot put with a top heave of 13.18 meters/43-feet-3.
- Assistant coach Rachel Richeson was first in the women's weight throw invite class at 25.38 meters/83-feet-3½.
SECOND PLACE
- Freshman Braxton Moore in the men's high jump (1.95 meters/6-feet-4¾).
THIRD PLACE
- Junior Leslie Pollock in the women's weight throw invite (19.06 meters/62-feet-6½).
- Juniors Landon McFrederick and Matthew Noel in the men's high jump (1.90 meters/6-feet-2¾).
- Senior Levi Hondred in the men's long jump (6.80 meters/22-feet-3¾).
- Sophomore Nalin Robinson in the men's shot put (14.81 meters/48-feet-7¼).
- Junior Zach Vales in the men's mile run (4:18.17).
- Senior Joe Wahl in the men's 400 dash (48.86 seconds).
- Junior Christian Seibert in the men's triple jump (13.69 meters/44-feet-11).
- Allen in the men's 60 hurdles (8.16 seconds).
