The 2025-26 season for Ashland University's men's golf team began on Monday (Sept. 8) at the Malone-Glenmoor Invitational at Glenmoor Country Club in nearby Canton, Ohio.
Through the first 36 holes of the 12-team event, the Eagles are in third place at 299-292—591. Hillsdale has the first-day lead at 296-286—582, and Wayne State sits in second place (299-287—586).
Sophomore
Shaun Mazzalupi is the AU pacesetter after Day 1, and is tied for ninth place individually at 72-74—146 and with six birdies.
Another sophomore,
Michael Fickle, is tied for 15
th at 74-74—148 and with six birdies, and redshirt freshman
Julian Myers also is tied for 15
th (75-73—148, four birdies).
Senior
Lukas Schreck is tied for 23
rd (78-71—149, six birdies), and senior
Carter Mishler is tied for 49
th (83-75—158, five birdies).
Playing as an individual was redshirt freshman
Charlie Drapp (tied for 49
th, 81-77—158, five birdies).
