Ashland University senior
Carter Mishler has accomplished something no Eagle men's golfer has done in nearly a half-century of conference play.
As announced by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference on Friday (May 15) afternoon, Mishler and sophomore
Mark Pillar are 2026 all-conference selections. And for Mishler, the honor marks the first time an AU men's golfer has been a four-time conference first-teamer in the Great Midwest/Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference/Great Lakes Valley Conference era – going back to 1979.
In 2025-26, Mishler had an average round of 74.71 and sported 62 birdies. At the 2026 Great Midwest Championship, he finished in a tie for 21
st individually. He also competed as an individual at the 2026 NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional in Big Rapids, Mich., ending in a tie for 89
th.
Pillar's season average round was 73.96, and he was tied for ninth individually at the league championship.
