Ashland University's volleyball team turned a rare Sunday (Sept. 21) afternoon Great Midwest Athletic Conference match into a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-22) win at Kentucky Wesleyan.
Â
The Eagles are 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the Great Midwest, and that nine-match overall start is their best beginning since 2019 (also 7-2). The Panthers are 1-8, 0-2.
Â
Ashland's victory was its fourth 3-0 win of the young 2025 season.
Â
While the Eagles hit .245 as a team (third-best so far this fall), they kept KWC to a hitting percentage of .041 – their best defensive showing of the season. The Panthers hit negative in each of the first two sets on Sunday.
