The 19 men's golf teams at Ferris State's Midwest/Central Regional Preview ran out of daylight to finish two rounds on Monday (Sept. 15).
Ashland University would have liked to complete its day, given how the second round was going. The Eagles are tied for second place at 14-over par, and at 3-under in the nearly-completed second round, had the second-best score and will look to improve on it on Tuesday (Sept. 16).
Rockhurst is the team leader at 3-over, and Ashland and Gannon are tied for second at 14-over.
Sophomore
Mark Pillar is in contention for individual medalist, and is in third at 1-under par (seven birdies) through 16 holes in the second round.
Another sophomore,
Michael Fickle, is at 2-over and tied for 11
th through the first 34 holes (four birdies), and redshirt freshman
Julian Myers is tied for 20
th at 5-over (five birdies).
Sophomore
Shaun Mazzalupi is tied for 33
rd at 8-over with one hole to go in the second round (one eagle, six birdies), and senior
Lukas Schreck is tied for 85
th with three holes left in the second round (one birdie).
Playing as an individual was senior
Scott Armstrong, who is tied for 33
rd at 8-over (one birdie).
