In the women's 800-meter run prelims, junior
Jade Avance qualified for Saturday (May 24) night's finals, having the fourth-best overall time at 2:06.01.

Later, in the women's 100 hurdles prelims, fifth-year
Aniya Seward won her heat and ended with the fourth-best time in the field at 13.33 seconds – putting her in Saturday night's finals.

In the women's team standings, Ashland's six points put it in a tie for 14
th place through seven of 21 events. On the men's side, the Eagles' six points are good for a tie for 17
th through eight of 21 events.
