Ashland University's No. 21-ranked men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed Thursday (May 22) on Day 1 of the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Pueblo, Colo. – and came away with a pair of All-American efforts.
Thursday started with junior
Garrett Baker placing third in the men's pole vault at 5.42 meters/17-feet-9¼. Baker earned his fourth career D-II All-American honor (two indoors, two outdoors) after clearing his first four heights on the first attempt, and the third-place finish tied his best showing at a national meet.
Sophomore
Molly Winner earned her third All-American award of 2025 following a third-place showing in the women's hammer throw at 60.57 meters/198-feet-8. Her top heave came on her first attempt of the day.
Also on Day 1:
Through two of 21 events on the women's side, the Eagles are tied for fourth place with six points. Also through two of 21 events on the men's side, Ashland is tied for sixth with six points.

9 p.m. – Avance and Sievert in women's 800 run finals (if qualify)
10:05 p.m. – Dowdell in women's 5,000 run
