Thress, Men’s 4x400 Improve On Provo Marks At GVSU

Select athletes from Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed on Sunday (May 11) at the Grand Valley State Last Chance Meet, and two improved provisional marks were earned toward the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, at Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24.
 
In the men's 800-meter run, sophomore Colton Thress finished in 1:50.15 for an improved provo time.
 
Then, in the men's 4x400 relay, the Eagle quartet of Thress and seniors Colin Hunkele, Jacob Pielech and Noah Wood crossed the finish line in 3:10.31 for another improved provo.
