The third and final round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional took place on Saturday (May 10) in St. Joseph, Mo., and Ashland University's men's golf team saved its best for the last 18 holes.
On Saturday, the Eagles carded a team score of 289 to finish at 306-299-289—894. Ashland ended 19
th among the 20-team regional field.
Freshman
Charlie Fish's first NCAA postseason was a successful one. He tied for 25
th individually at 70-77-71—218, ended the week with two eagles and nine birdies, and he birdied his last three holes on Saturday.
Senior
Matthew McMullen tied for 56
th at 78-72-73—228, and ended the regional with eight birdies. Freshman
Mark Pillar tied for 79
th (78-75-73—226, three birdies), and junior
Carter Mishler tied for 88
th (80-76-72—228, seven birdies).
Junior
Lukas Schreck drew in as a substitute on Saturday, and fired a 75 – including an eagle on hole No. 17.
