Eagle Men, Women Add To Outdoor Nationals Marks At Cincy

The University of Cincinnati Oliver Nikoloff Invitational took place on Friday and Saturday (April 4-5), and Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams added to their provisional marks toward the 2025 NCAA Division II Championships, at Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24.
 
In the women's 800-meter run, a pair of Eagles gained new provisionals – first-place junior Jade Avance (2:07.38) and fourth-place graduate Hope Sievert (2:10.20). Sophomore Molly Winner won the women's shot put with an improved provo mark of 15.01 meters/49-feet-3, the women's 4x400 relay team of sophomore Brianna Chenevey, freshman Olivia Saylor, Avance and senior Mia Gardner won (3:46.47), as did the men's 4x400 relay team of senior Colin Hunkele, junior Derrick Amapps, senior Ethan Schuster, and senior Jacob Pielech (3:11.84).
 
Pielech was second in the men's 400 dash (new provo of 47.40 seconds), the women's 4x100 relay of sophomore Odessa Smith, Chenevey, senior Greta Barker and sophomore Hailey Rios was third (new provo of 45.76 seconds), junior Abby Wheeler tied for fourth in the women's high jump (new provo of 1.72 meters/5-feet-7¾), Chenevey finished fourth (new provo of 23.98 seconds), and senior Sarah Masuoka tied for fourth in the women's pole vault (new provo of 3.80 meters/12-feet-5½).
 
On Friday, sophomore Leslie Pollock earned a new provo in the women's hammer throw (54.65 meters/179-feet-3, fourth place).
 
FIRST PLACE

• The men's 4x100 relay of senior Caden Morris, Amapps, senior Joe Wahl and sophomore Liam Mann (41.11 seconds).

SECOND PLACE

• Morris in the men's long jump (7.15 meters/23-feet-5½).
• Pollock in the women's discus throw (42.78 meters/140-feet-4).
• Sophomore Sidney Sheppert in the women's triple jump (10.92 meters/35-feet-10).
• Fifth-year Aniya Seward in the women's 100 hurdles (14.75 seconds).
• Assistant coach T.J. Skinner in the men's 110 hurdles (14.21 seconds).

THIRD PLACE

• Winner in the women's hammer (56.65 meters/185-feet-10).
• Junior Isiah King in the men's 110 hurdles (14.72 seconds).
• Smith in the women's 100 hurdles (14.81 seconds).
• Sophomore Nalin Robinson in the men's discus throw (48.50 meters/159-feet-1).
• Freshman Carter Smith in the men's pole vault (4.71 meters/15-feet-5½).
• Senior Kelsey Kinsley in the women's shot put (13.87 meters/45-feet-6¼).
