Nationally-Ranked AU Women, Men End Regular Season At 15th Alumni Open

Ashland University's No. 17-ranked women and No. 18-ranked men played host to the 15^th Ashland Alumni Open outdoor track and field meet on Friday and Saturday (April 25-26) at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex and Ferguson Field.
 
Five improved and new provisional marks were earned toward the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, at Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24:

• Junior Garrett Baker won the men's pole vault with an improved provo mark of 5.31 meters/17-feet-5.
• Sophomore Molly Winner won the women's shot put elite category with an improved provo distance of 15.08 meters/49-feet-5¾.
• Senior Kelsey Kinsley was third in the same category with a new provo of 13.90 meters/45-feet-7¼.
• In the men's pole vault, freshman Carter Smith tied for fifth with a new provo of 4.85 meters/15-feet-11.
• Senior Brock Janowicz was sixth in the men's hammer throw elite with a new provo of 57.17 meters/187-feet-6.

FIRST PLACE

• The men's 4x400-meter relay of seniors Joe Wahl and Caden Morris, sophomore Liam Mann and junior Derrick Amapps (40.90 seconds).
• Sophomore Alex Eggleston in the men's 400 hurdles (53.92 seconds).
• Sophomore Nalin Robinson in the men's discus throw (50.43 meters/165-feet-5).
• Sophomore Colton Thress in the men's 800 run (1:52.78).
• Sophomore Aidan Hernandez-Jenkins in the men's hammer throw (56.56 meters/185-feet-6).

SECOND PLACE

• Junior Nate Slater in the men's 800 run (1:53.04).
• Winner in the women's hammer throw elite (58.94 meters/193-feet-4).
• Senior Emilie Lemon in the women's 800 run (2:16.90).
• Junior Jade Avance in the women's 400 dash (57.20 seconds).
• Sophomore Hailey Rios in the women's long jump (5.23 meters/17-feet-2).

THIRD PLACE

• Kinsley in the women's hammer throw (50.91 meters/167-feet-0).
• The women's 4x100 relay of sophomore Sidney Sheppert, freshmen Joyce Stallard and Alaina Heller, and fifth-year Aniya Seward.
• Senior Colin Hunkele in the men's 400 dash (48.61 seconds).
• Junior Montana Walker in the women's 100 dash (12.24 seconds).
• Junior Kennedy Flores in the women's shot put (13.51 meters/44-feet-4).
• Senior Jacob Bechtel in the men's hammer throw (53.00 meters/173-feet-10).
