Ashland University's women's (No. 10 in the country) and men's outdoor track and field teams opened the new weekend in two locations on Friday (April 18) – the Virginia Challenge and the Otterbein Twilight.

In Virginia, senior
Lily Dowdell continued her seemingly never-ending record-breaking 2025 by setting a new program standard in the women's 1,500-meter run in 4:30.88 (11
th place).

A new provisional time for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, at Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24, was earned by sophomore
Hailey Rios in the preliminaries of the women's 100 dash (11.76 seconds). Improved provos were picked up by senior
Caden Morris in the men's long jump (fourth place at 7.75 meters/25-feet-5ÂĽ) and sophomore
Leslie Pollock in the women's hammer throw (fourth place at 55.73 meters/182-feet-10).

At Otterbein, junior
Isiah King turned in a new provo in the men's 110 hurdles (first place, 14.35 seconds), and senior
Sarah Masuoka posted an improved provo in winning the women's pole vault (3.94 meters/12-feet-11).

- Sophomore Kara Fields in the women's 100 hurdles (14.49 seconds).

- Junior Kennedy Flores in the women's hammer throw (52.74 meters/173-feet-0) and women's shot put (13.09 meters/42-feet-11ÂĽ).
SECOND PLACE
- Sophomore Amandine Binet in the women's 3,000 steeplechase (11:53.05).
- Senior Hannah Berheide in the women's 400 dash (58.11 seconds).
- Freshman Alisha Hill in the women's discus (42.04 meters/137-feet-11).
- Sophomore Nalin Robinson in the men's discus (49.12 meters/161-feet-2).
THIRD PLACE
- Senior Konnor Ray in the men's 3,000 steeplechase (9:55.49).
