Nate Slater earned a new provisional time for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, at Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24, in the men's 800-meter run at Lee's (Tenn.) Fast Break Athletics Invitational on Saturday (April 12), ending in second place in 1:51.02.
In three events on Saturday, Eagle individuals and relays broke track records – junior
Jade Avance in the women's 800 run (2:08.34), the women's 4x400 relay of sophomore
Brianna Chenevey, freshman
Olivia Saylor, senior
Mia Gardner and Avance (3:50.92); and the men's 4x400 relay of senior
Colin Hunkele, sophomore
Colton Thress, and seniors
Ethan Schuster and
Jacob Pielech (3:11.87).
In the women's 4x100 relay, the quartet of sophomore
Odessa Smith, Chenevey, senior
Greta Barker and sophomore
Hailey Rios won in 46.89 seconds. Pielech came across the finish line first in the men's 400 dash in 48.08 seconds.
Second-place finishes were earned by Schuster in the men's 400 dash (48.35 seconds), Smith in the women's 100 hurdles (14.27 seconds), and the men's 4x100 relay of senior
