The Ashland Golf Club was the scene for the first two rounds of the Ashland Men's Spring Invitational on Saturday (March 29), and Ashland University's men's golf team sits in fourth place in the nine-team field.
Junior
Carter Mishler led the way at 74-74—148. He is tied for 17
th individually, and ended the day with seven birdies.
Freshman
Mark Pillar had two eagles on the second round, ended with three birdies on the day, and is tied for 21
st at 76-74—150.
Rounding out the team showing for the AU "A" team were freshman
Charlie Fish (tied for 23
rd, 76-75—151, one eagle, three birdies), senior
Matthew McMullen (tied for 23
rd, 78-73—151, one eagle, five birdies) and freshman
Shaun Mazzalupi (tied for 32
nd, 76-77—153).
Ashland is at 302-296—598. Wayne State is first (287-287—574), with Missouri S&T in second (290-286—576).
The Eagle "B" team is in fifth place at 306-293—599. Junior
Lukas Schreck is tied for 11
th at 74-73—147 and with an eagle and two birdies.
