The Ashland University men's golf team concluded the Findlay Spring Invitational on Tuesday (March 25), finishing in 11
th place in the 18-team mostly-Midwest Region field.

Matthew McMullen was AU's pacesetter for the tournament, ending in a tie for 15
th place individually at 70-74-71—215. McMullen had seven birdies on Tuesday and 15 for the event.

Next was freshman
Shaun Mazzalupi, who tied for 43
rd at 73-76-72—221, and who ended with seven birdies.

Rounding out the Eagle team showing were junior
Carter Mishler (tied for 54
th, 75-73-76—224, eight birdies), freshman
Charlie Fish (tied for 54
th, 75-76-73—224, nine birdies), and rookie
Mark Pillar (tied for 69
th, 76-71-80—227, five birdies).

Playing as an individual was freshman
Sam Sutton, who tied for 45
th at 75-73-74—222 and had an eagle and six birdies.

The Eagles' team finish was 293-294-292—879. Taking the team title was Missouri S&T (288-286-270—844), followed by Wayne State (283-286-279—848) and the host Oilers (279-288-283—850).

Individual medalist was Missouri S&T's Connor Benjamin at 18-under par 68-66-64—198.
