No. 21 Baseball Loses Game 2 Of Spring Break Trip

On Saturday (March 1) in Tampa, Fla., the No. 21-ranked Ashland University baseball team lost 12-4 to Minnesota Crookston in the second game of the Eagles' annual Spring Break trip.

The Golden Eagles (5-4) jumped on top with a run in the top of the first inning, then added seven runs in the top of the third and three in the top of the fifth.

Ashland (4-3) got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth on a two-run home run by senior catcher Ben Peltz, his first of the season. After a Crookston run in the top of the sixth, senior third baseman Jeremiah Cangelosi's two-run blast, his first of 2025, cut the deficit to eight.
