On Thursday (Feb. 20) night, Ashland University's men's basketball team lost 92-74 at Kentucky Wesleyan to begin the next-to-last week of the 2024-25 regular season.
With three games to go before the start of the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament, the Eagles are 14-10 overall and 10-7 in the league. The Panthers are 19-6, 13-4.

Carter Valentine put AU up 20-15, but Kentucky Wesleyan took a five-point lead at 35-30 with less than 4½ minutes until halftime.
A fast-paced first half (a combined 82 points and just six turnovers) saw KWC take a 44-38 lead into the break.
The Panthers sported a nine-point lead at 54-45 early in the second half, then took an 11-point advantage at 63-52 following a 7-2 spurt. Kentucky Wesleyan eventually moved their separation to 21 points at 82-61 with less than five minutes to go.

- Junior forward Maceo Williams paced the AU effort with 19 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
- Rounding out four Eagles in double-digit scoring were junior point guard Jaron Crews (13 points), sophomore wing Cooper Davis (11 points) and senior guard Gbolahan Adio (11 points).
