Williams Improves In Women’s 60 Dash To End Doug Raymond Invite

Graduate Alena Williams improved upon her previous provisional mark in the women's 60-meter dash for the 2025 NCAA Division II Championships, March 13-15 in Indianapolis, Ind., on the second and final day of Kent State's Doug Raymond Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 15).
 
Williams finished in fourth place in 7.54 seconds – a new PR in the event.
 
FIRST PLACE

• Junior Garrett Baker in the men's pole vault (5.30 meters/17-feet-4½).
• Junior Jade Avance in the women's 400 dash (56.02 seconds).
• Senior Jacob Pielech in the men's 400 dash (48.08 seconds).
• Assistant coach DaJuan Seward in the men's triple jump (15.44 meters/50-feet-8).

SECOND PLACE

• Sophomore Brianna Chenevey in the women's 400 dash (56.15 seconds).
• Sophomore Molly Winner in the women's shot put (14.61 meters/47-feet-11¼).
• The women's 4x400 relay of junior Montana Walker, Chenevey, Avance and senior Mia Gardner (3:51.99).
• The men's 4x400 relay of senior Colin Hunkele, sophomore Brian Turner, senior Noah Wood and Pielech (3:17.61).

THIRD PLACE

• Hunkele in the men's 400 dash (48.51 seconds).
• Fifth-year Aniya Seward in the women's triple jump (11.47 meters/37-feet-7¾).
• Junior Isiah King in the men's 60 hurdles (8.19 seconds).
• The men's 4x400 relay of sophomore Gavin Mullen, senior Wyatt Cory, sophomores Ethan Browning and Matthew Noel (3:39.26).
