Williams Improves In Women’s 60 Dash To End Doug Raymond Invite

Graduate Alena Williams improved upon her previous provisional mark in the women's 60-meter dash for the 2025 NCAA Division II Championships, March 13-15 in Indianapolis, Ind., on the second and final day of Kent State's Doug Raymond Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 15).
 
Williams finished in fourth place in 7.54 seconds – a new PR in the event.
 
FIRST PLACE
  • Junior Garrett Baker in the men's pole vault (5.30 meters/17-feet-4½).
  • Junior Jade Avance in the women's 400 dash (56.02 seconds).
  • Senior Jacob Pielech in the men's 400 dash (48.08 seconds).
  • Assistant coach DaJuan Seward in the men's triple jump (15.44 meters/50-feet-8).
SECOND PLACE THIRD PLACE UP NEXT
The AU Last Chance meet on Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Niss Athletic Center.
