Three Ashland University soccer players were placed on the United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Midwest Region teams on Tuesday (Dec. 9) morning – senior forward
Dani Hicks (first team) and senior midfielder
Emily Pate (second team) on the women's side, and freshman forward
Tom Woodward (second team) on the men's side.
Hicks recorded 15 goals and nine assists for 39 points over 21 games (all starts) in 2025. She ranks 11
th in the nation in goals, tied for 18
th in assists and tied for fifth in points.
Also this postseason, Hicks has been named D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year and first-team all-region, College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player, Great Midwest Offensive Player of the Year and first-team all-league.
Pate ended the fall with six goals and four assists for 16 points, and also has been lauded as second-team D2CCA all-region, first-team all-conference, all-conference tourney team and CSC Academic All-District this postseason.
Woodward, also the 2025 Great Midwest Freshman of the Year and a first-team all-league selection, paced the Eagle men in goals (eight), assists (five) and points (21) as a rookie this fall.
Eagle women's soccer was 14-3-5 overall and 10-0-4 in the Great Midwest in 2025, winning both the conference's regular-season and tournament titles, and was victorious in the first round of the NCAA postseason.
Ashland men's soccer ended the 2025 season at 4-9-4 overall and 3-8-3 in the Great Midwest.
