Playing on a rainy, cold day in Findlay on Thursday (Oct. 30) afternoon, the No. 13-ranked Ashland University women's soccer team played the Oilers to a 0-0 draw – as the Eagles maintain their Great Midwest Athletic Conference lead while the top of the table tightens up.
Now 10-0-3 in its last 13 games, Ashland moves to 11-2-3 overall and 9-0-3 in the conference. The Eagles' 30 points are three better than second-place Cedarville, and four better than third-place Findlay (9-3-4, 8-2-2) with two league games remaining.
Fifth-year goalkeeper
Jaya Daniel (10-1-3), the reigning Great Midwest defensive Athlete of the Week, earned her sixth solo clean sheet of 2025 after making three saves.
WRAPPING IT UP
- The Eagles out-shot the Oilers, 13-9.
- Ashland was the NCAA Division II leader in corner kicks per game coming in (10.60 ckpg.), but had just two on Thursday to Findlay's three.
