On Saturday (Oct. 11) night at the Sherrill Hudson Court at Kates Gymnasium, the Ashland University volleyball team lost 3-2 (22-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-10) to Walsh – in a match-up of the top two teams in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference's East Division.
The Eagles move to 11-5 overall and 6-3 in the league, while the Cavaliers are 13-3, 7-0.
Saturday's match featured 18 tie scores and 10 lead changes.
WRAPPING IT UP
- Junior middle hitter Ravin Morgan ended the night with 20 kills, a .486 hitting percentage and four block assists.
- Sophomore outside hitter Sara Krizsa (12) and freshman outside hitter Jenna Shedden (10) each recorded double-digit kills.
- Junior setter Marin Dixon collected 50 assists, five kills and 14 digs.
- Joining Dixon with double-digit digs were junior libero Abbey Queen (21) and senior defensive specialist Macy McNamara (13).
- Saturday was Ashland's Youth Night / Alumni Night / Team Signing Night.
