The first second-semester meet for Ashland University's men's and women's indoor track and field teams was a strong one, as the Eagles turned in many nationals marks on Saturday (Jan. 18) at Kent State's Jud Logan Memorial.

Those earning new and improved provisional marks for 2025 NCAA Division II indoor nationals (March 13-15 in Indianapolis, Ind.) were:
- Sophomore Molly Winner, who came into the day ranked No. 2 in the nation in the weight throw and No. 7 in the shot put, did nothing to hurt those rankings in improving her previous provos in both events. She won the women's shot put (15.10m/49-feet-6½), and was second in the women's weight throw (19.13m/62-feet-9¼).
- Senior Lily Dowdell won the women's 3,000 run in a new provo time and school-record time of 9:48.05.
- Another sophomore, Brianna Chenevey, earned two new provos in winning the women's 400-meter dash (56.06 seconds), and finishing the women's 60 dash prelims in 7.60 seconds.
- Senior Caden Morris won the men's long jump with an improved provo of 7.55 meters/24-feet-9ÂĽ.
- Fifth-year Aniya Seward took the title in the women's 60 hurdles in 8.78 seconds, but had a new provo in the prelims in 8.77 seconds. She then was second in the women's triple jump with a new provo mark of 12.05 meters/39-feet-6½.
- Sophomore Colton Thress won the men's 800 run in a new provo of 1:51.64.
- Junior Garrett Baker took second in the men's pole vault with a new provo mark of 5.25 meters/17-feet-2Âľ.
- Junior Daylen Madison was runner-up in the men's 800 run, also with a new provo of 1:51.67.
- Senior Sarah Masuoka improved upon her previous provo after a second-place finish of 3.75 meters/12-feet-3½. Sophomore Allie Dunlap was third with her new provo at the same distance.
- Sophomore Leslie Pollock was third in the women's weight throw with an improved provo of 18.81 meters/61-feet-8½.
- Junior Jade Avance finished third in the women's 400 dash with a new provo time of 56.65 seconds.
FIRST PLACE
- Senior Jacob Pielech in both the men's 400 dash (48.42 seconds) and 200 dash (21.97 seconds).
- Junior Nate Slater in the men's mile run (4:09.59).
- The men's 4x400 relay of senior Noah Wood, Thress, sophomore Colin Ellis and Madison (3:20.00).

- Senior Mia Gardner in the women's 200 dash (25.62 seconds).
- Senior Emilie Lemon in the women's mile run (5:10.47).
- Senior Jacob Bechtel in the men's weight throw (16.95 meters/55-feet-7½).
- Sophomore Hailey Rios in the women's long jump (5.55 meters/18-feet-2½).
- Sophomore Brian Turner in the men's 400 dash (49.07 seconds).
- Chenevey in the women's 60 dash (7.74 seconds).
- Sophomore Matthew Noel in the men's high jump (1.90 meters/6-feet-2Âľ).
Saturday's meet is named for
Jud Logan, the former AU track and field head coach who passed away in January of 2022 at age 62. Logan posthumously joined the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Coaches Hall of Fame in December.
