Eagle Men Lose Conference Game At Storm

In a Thursday (Sept. 26) Great Midwest Athletic Conference matinee at Lake Erie, Ashland University's men's soccer team lost a 2-0 decision to the Storm.
 
The Eagles are 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the Great Midwest, while Lake Erie stays tied atop the league table at 4-2, 3-0.
 
In the 12th minute, Linus Oestlund opened the scoring for the Storm on an assist from Aaron Garrote. Then, in the 84th minute, Garrote put one in the back of the net from Jack Bole.

  • Senior goalkeeper Ty Bowden made a pair of saves for AU on Thursday afternoon.
  • The Eagles narrowly out-shot the Storm by a 9-8 margin, but Lake Erie took eight of the game's nine corner kicks.
