McMullen Tied For Fourth, Men’s Golf Sixth At Fall-Opening Malone-Glenmoor Invite

Senior Matthew McMullen got off to a strong start to his 2024-25 season on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 9-10) at the Malone-Glenmoor Fall Invite, as he finished tied for fourth individually, and the Eagles as a team placed sixth in the 13-team field.
 
McMullen carded 71-75-74—220 for the tournament, ending 4-over par to lead the AU effort.
 
Junior Carter Mishler tied for 17th at 78-75-74—227, and then came the Eagles' set of varsity freshmen – Mark Pillar (20th, 77-75-77—229), Michael Fickle (tied for 21st, 75-80-75—230) and Charlie Fish (tied for 52nd, 85-85-75—245).

  • Playing as an individual in the tournament was junior Lukas Schreck, who finished 19th at 84-71-73—228.
  • The Eagles' team showing was 301-305-298—904. Lewis won at 295-297-296—888, while Catawba was the runner-up (296-298-296—890).
