Barnette Improves Upon Provo Mark In Women’s Hammer At BW

Junior Kaylyn Barnette improved upon her previous provisional mark in the women's hammer throw for the 2024 NCAA Division II Championships, May 23-25 in Emporia, Kan., on Friday (May 10) at Baldwin Wallace's Harrison Dillard Twilight.
 
Barnette won the event at BW with a top heave of 54.55 meters/179-feet-0.
 
Earlier in the week of last-chance meets, on Wednesday (May 8) at Hillsdale's 13-Event Last Chance meet, freshman Justin Richards earned a new provo in the men's long jump at 7.31 meters/23-feet-11¾, and freshman Alex Eggleston improved upon his previous provo in the men's 400 hurdles, finishing in 52.65 seconds.
