No. 6 STUNT Wins First Nationals Game In Program History, Goes 1-1 On Day 1

Ashland University's STUNT team is used to program firsts.

On Friday (April 26) night, the Eagles achieved two more – their first all-time overtime win, and their first Division II nationals victory. After losing the first game of the day to No. 3 Dallas Baptist, 14-12, AU won another tight affair, 16-14 in overtime, to No. 7 and Great Midwest Athletic Conference rival Trevecca Nazarene.

"Today, we made history by winning our first game at the national level. I couldn't be more proud of this team," said Ashland head coach Denise Farnsworth. "They were motivated in the way they prepared for this event, and it certainly showed in both of our games today."

Ashland continues to extend its program records for single-season wins (18) and single-season games played (27).
