Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams continue to prep for the 2024 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships, and turned in several marks towards the 2024 NCAA Division II Championships, May 23-25 in Emporia, Kan., on Saturday (April 20) at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Classic.
There were six improved and one new provisional mark for D-II outdoor nationals. The women's 4x400-meter relay quartet of senior
Elizabeth Adams, redshirt freshman
Hailey Rios, sophomore
Jade Avance and junior
Mia Gardner won on Saturday with an improved provo time of 3:45.09.
In the men's 110 hurdles, senior
T.J. Skinner (14.00 seconds) and junior
D.J. Duncan (14.06 seconds) finished 1-2 – Skinner with a new provo, Duncan an improved one. Adams also improved upon her provo in the women's 400 dash, taking second place in 55.31 seconds.
In the men's 4x100 relay, the team of junior
Caden Morris, freshman
Lucas Anderson, sophomore
Levi Hondred and redshirt freshman
Roosevelt Zeigler took third with an improved provo time of 40.51 seconds. Sophomore
Jaycob Kolleda was fourth in the men's high jump with an improved provo distance of 2.08 meters/6-feet-9¾, and sophomore
Daylen Madison was second with an improved provo of 1:50.85 in the men's 800 run.

Colton Thress was third (1:52.42) in the men's 800 run, and senior
Emma Liberatore finished third in the women's high jump (1.70 meters/5-feet-7).
