Sophomore midfielder
Ashley Fisher had quite an afternoon for Ashland University's women's lacrosse team on Wednesday (March 6), scoring the game-winning goal in overtime in a 13-12 victory, and tying the program record for points in a game with 10.
Fisher's seventh goal of the game, 57 seconds into the overtime period on a free-position shot, lifted the Eagles to a 3-3 record – and Fisher to tying the single-game points mark set three other times.
The Golden Eagles are 2-4.
Ashland led 5-1 early, then Charleston sported its biggest leads of four goals at 11-7 and 12-8 early in the fourth quarter. The Eagles, however, didn't allow another goal and ran off five in a row for the victory.
Wednesday's game marked just the second time Ashland women's lacrosse has won an overtime game – the other time coming at Lewis, 12-11, on April 10, 2019.
