Brenden Jackson long to pick up both a victory and a nationals provisional mark in the new outdoor track and field season.
On Day 1 of the Kennesaw State's Don McGarey Invitational, Jackson not only won the men's 400-meter hurdles, but his time of 53.14 seconds is a provo mark for 2024 outdoor nationals, May 23-25 in Emporia, Kan..

Jesse Houle also earned a new provo mark in placing second in the men's hammer throw at 58.48 meters/191-feet-10.

Sarah Masuoka in the women's pole vault, with a top mark of 3.75 meters/12-feet-3½, and sophomore
Braeden Geist in the men's 5,000 run (15:11.93).
Placing second were sophomore
Daylen Madison in the men's 1,500 run (4:00.37), freshman
Odessa Smith in the women's 400 hurdles (1:04.41), and redshirt freshman
Leslie Pollock in the women's discus throw (40.17 meters/131-feet-9).
Freshman
Allie Dunlap took third in the women's pole vault (3.45 meters/11-feet-3¾).
