There's only one December meet for Ashland University's indoor track and field teams in the 2024-25 season, and the Eagle men and women started the new campaign strong on Day 1 of the Saginaw Valley State Holiday Open on Friday (Dec. 6).

Winning events and earning new provisional marks for 2025 NCAA Division II indoor nationals (March 13-15 in Indianapolis, Ind.) were:

Caden Morris in the men's long jump (7.53 meters/24-feet-8½) and men's 60-meter dash (6.84 seconds).
- Sophomore
Molly Winner in the women's shot put (14.99 meters/49-feet-2ÂĽ) and women's weight throw (18.95 meters/62-feet-2ÂĽ).

Hailey Rios in the women's 60 dash (7.59 seconds).
- Sophomore
Odessa Smith in the women's 60 hurdles (8.75 seconds).

Jade Avance in the women's 800 run (2:12.80).

D.J. Duncan also earned a provisional mark in the men's 60 hurdle prelims, crossing the finish line in 8.03 seconds. He later won the men's 60 hurdle finals in 8.05 seconds.
On Saturday (Dec. 7), the men's heptathlon concluded with senior
Wyatt Cory finishing second and turning in a provo of 5,071 points.
