Tiffin's men's soccer team scored two goals in the last 11 minutes on Saturday (Oct. 26) afternoon, dealing Ashland University a 3-2 road Great Midwest Athletic Conference loss.
The Eagles move to 7-6-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the league after having their four-game winning streak snapped, and the first-place Dragons improve to 10-4-1, 9-2.
After Caleb Gibbons scored for Tiffin in the 43
rd minute, the Eagles scored at the end of the first half and early in the second half.
With 13 seconds left until halftime, senior forward
Pedro Faria notched his team-leading seventh goal of the season – all in the last eight games – to level the score at 1-1. Then, in the 50
th minute, senior midfielder
Oliver Lovell potted his fourth goal of the fall to give the Eagles the lead.
The Dragons leveled the score themselves in the 80
th minute on a goal from Noah Purtz. Tiffin then took the lead in the 84
th minute when Gibbons found Tate Newman for the decider.

- Senior goalkeeper Ty Bowden made six saves in the loss. He came into the game with a scoreless streak of 350 minutes.
- Tiffin out-shot Ashland by a 17-11 count, and the Dragons doubled up the Eagles on corner kicks (4-2).
