The Eagles are 2-0 for the first time since 2019, and this is the third time Ashland's women have started the season with two straight shutouts (2013, 2019).

- In the 23rd minute, the Eagles broke the scoreless tie when junior forward Merrik Mihalek scored her first goal of 2023 on a free kick.
- Then, in the 53rd minute, sophomore forward Dani Hicks potted her first goal of the new campaign on a feed from freshman midfielder Ella Schneider.
- Senior goalkeeper Mackenzie Simon and the defense preserved the shutout, as Simon made six saves.
- Rollins had an 11-6 shots advantage, and took four of the five corner kicks on Saturday night.
