QUOTABLES
- "I said to our young women after the (second) match…I think we're going to learn to deal with adversity this season," said Ashland head coach Katie Kuhn, referring to weekend injuries to fifth-year middle blocker Anna Krikke and junior right-side hitter GraceAnn Hartman. "You just feel for your young women in that sense, but we had different people step up in different positions."
- Of Ruth, Kuhn said, "I think Bailey did an excellent job. She kept making herself available in our offense. I think we all know that's an offense that Bailey can run. It was really good to see that happen."
- Kuhn said of freshmen Krause and Urban, "They did an exceptional job. Having Henlie run six rotations all weekend was impressive. Kylie has done a really nice job of running the offense, and her serve is a wicked weapon for us. I don't think they played like freshmen this weekend."
