The Eagles are 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and the Pioneers are 4-1, 1-1.

- Following a scoreless first half, the Eagles broke the deadlock in the 55th minute when sophomore forward Dani Hicks scored her third goal of the season on a feed from junior midfielder Merrik Mihalek (second assist of the season).
- Ashland's insurance goals came from senior forward Allison King in the 70th minute – her first as an Eagle – on a pass from Hicks for her first helper of the campaign, and from Mihalek in the 76th minute for her third goal of 2023, unassisted.
- Senior goalkeeper Mackenzie Simon made two saves, as she and the Eagle defense turned in their fourth clean sheet in five games.
- The Eagles took 11 of the game's 15 shots, and eight of the game's 10 corner kicks.
