A weather-altered Tiffelberg Open was contested on Saturday (April 1), and Ashland University's outdoor track and field teams were paced by the women's hammer throwers.

Kelsey Kinsley won the event and improved upon her previous provisional mark for the 2023 NCAA Division II Championships (May 25-27 in Pueblo, Colo.) with a top heave of 56.03 meters/183-feet-10. Fifth-year
Carrol Pauley earned a new provo by placing second at 54.03 meters/178-feet-2.
NOTABLES
- Junior Cole LaRoche won the men's shot put on Saturday (15.74 meters/51-feet-7¾).
- Finishing second were junior McKenna Woodruff in the women's 1,500-meter run (5:03.05) and junior Peyton Perini in the women's 800 run (2:31.65).
- Sophomore Brock Janowicz placed third in the men's hammer throw (55.22 meters/181-feet-2) and discus throw (43.14 meters/141-feet-6).
