On Saturday (March 25) at the Total Sports Dome in Rossford, Mich., Ashland University's softball team lost 6-2 and 13-4 (six innings) decisions to Hillsdale in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader.

The Eagles are 7-17 overall and 1-3 in the Great Midwest, and the Chargers are 15-12, 2-0.

NOTABLES
- In Game 1, Ashland had five hits, and got RBIs from senior center fielder Lauren McMillin and freshman pinch-hitter Amanda Kolar. Senior pitcher Josie Duncan (2-5) allowed 11 hits, six runs (five earned) and no walks in four innings.
- Game 2 saw senior third baseman Hailey Struckman hit a three-run home run, and both freshman second baseman Danielle Robbins (2-for-3) and McMillin (2-for-2) each collect two hits. Freshman pitcher Delaney Lis (2-3) yielded eight hits, seven runs and a walk and struck out two in two frames.
