In a non-conference match at John Carroll on Wednesday (March 22) afternoon, Ashland University's men's tennis team evened its 2022-23 record at 6-6 following a 6-3 victory over the Blue Streaks (1-10).
The Eagles have equaled their win total of 2021-22 with eight regular-season matches to go.
NOTABLES
- Ashland won four of six singles matches – sophomore William Rassat at No. 1 (6-4, 6-4), freshman Rodrigo Moura Ludgero at No. 4 (7-5, 6-1), sophomore Omar Prince at No. 5 (6-1, 6-3), and freshman Benedikt Weinborner at No. 6 (6-4, 6-2).
- In doubles, the Eagles won two of three contests. Rassat and freshman Tomas Paskauskas took the No. 1 match, 8-0, while Ludgero and sophomore Fabian Bussard won 8-5 in the No. 2 spot.
