Track and Field Dusty Sloan, Ashland University Director of Athletic Communications

Women’s 4x4 Places Seventh To End Indoor Nationals

To finish competition at the 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday (March 11) in Virginia Beach, Va., Ashland University's women's 4x400-meter relay team placed seventh to earn All-American honors.
 
The quartet of fifth-year Cheyanne Davis, senior Macy Creamer, freshman Jade Avance and sophomore Mia Gardner crossed the finish line in 3:45.60. Davis, Creamer and Gardner each are now two-time D-II All-Americans, and Avance earns her first All-American citation.
 
NOTABLES
  • Also on Saturday, sophomore Kelsey Kinsley placed 15th in the women's shot put at 13.25 meters/43-feet-5¾.
  • Ashland's women finished in a tie for 35th with four team points.
