Kinsley Improves On Shot Put Nationals Mark On Penn State Day 2

Sophomore Kelsey Kinsley keeps working her way up the NCAA Division II women's shot put rolls, turning in an improved nationals provisional mark on Saturday (Jan. 28) at the Penn State National Open.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• On Saturday, Kinsley turned in a sixth-place finish with a top heave of 14.61 meters/47-feet-11¼, improving her chances to go to the 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, March 10-11 in Virginia Beach, Va.
• At the Youngstown State College Mid Major on Saturday, sophomore Declan Rohr won the men's pole vault unseeded at 4.30 meters/14-feet-1¼, sophomore Hailey Maloon won the women's high jump at 1.56 meters/5-feet-1¼, and junior Elizabeth Adams was third in the women's 400-meter dash in 59.07 seconds.
• Also at YSU, the men's 4x400 relay team of senior Cameron Shifflet, freshmen Isaac Brooks and Dhiren Brickman and sophomore Noah Harshbarger took second in 3:25.45.
