Ashland University's men's and women's indoor track and field teams returned to action on Friday (Jan. 13) night in a tri-meet at Hillsdale with Findlay.
The Eagle men won the meet with 142 team points to the Oilers' 91 and the Chargers' 85. On the women's side, AU lost to Hillsdale by a half-point (106-105.5), while Findlay was third (100.5).

Carrol Pauley improved upon her previous provisional mark for 2023 NCAA Division II nationals (March 10-11 in Virginia Beach, Va.) in the women's weight throw, winning on Friday at 19.10 meters/62-feet-8.
Earning new national provo marks on Friday were freshman
Brayden Jackson in the men's pole vault (second, 4.75 meters/15-feet-7) and sophomore
Kelsey Kinsley in the women's shot put (second, 14.34 meters/47-feet-0¾).

- Senior Nick Ponzi earned a pair of individual victories on Friday night, taking the men's mile run (4:26.67) and 800-meter run (1:56.94). Eagle wins also were earned by junior Alena Williams in the women's 60 dash (7.72 seconds), senior Storm Elsesser in the men's high jump (1.98 meters/6-feet-6), junior Cole LaRoche in the men's shot put (16.13 meters/52-feet-11), senior Tim Rumas in the men's 60 dash (7.00 seconds), junior T.J. Skinner in the men's 60 hurdles (8.355 seconds), sophomore Noah Wood in the men's 200 dash (22.88 seconds), sophomore Mia Gardner in the women's 400 dash (57.91 seconds), sophomore Sarah Masuoka in the women's pole vault (3.68 meters/12-feet-0¾), junior Kaylin Martin in the women's long jump (5.53 meters/18-feet-1¾), and the men's 4x400 relay team of sophomore Colin Roberts, junior Brenden Jackson, junior Jacob Pielech, and Wood (3:27.96).

Duncan in the men's 60 hurdles (8.357 seconds), Pielech in the men's 200 dash (22.89 seconds), sophomore Brock Janowicz in the men's weight throw (18.24 meters/59-feet-10), freshman Derrick Amapps in the men's 400 dash (52.29 seconds), Williams in the women's 200 dash (25.84 seconds), senior Cheyanne Davis in the women's 60 dash (7.82 seconds), sophomore Caden Morris in the men's long jump (6.88 meters/22-feet-7), junior McKenna Woodruff in the women's mile run (5:32.33) and 800 run (2:22.56), sophomore Colton Pinkerton in the men's 3,000 run (8:56.85), senior Ethan Tabor in the men's triple jump (13.44 meters/44-feet-1¼), and the women's 4x400 relay team of freshman Jade Avance, junior Elizabeth Adams, Gardner and Davis (4:18.65).
- Taking thirds were Kinsley in the women's weight throw (18.06 meters/59-feet-3), senior Morgan Dennis in the women's 60 dash (7.91 seconds), freshman Levi Honderd in the men's long jump (6.42 meters/21-feet-0¾), senior Emma Hinkle in the women's mile run (5:33.91), sophomore Emilie Lemon in the women's 800 run (2:31.75), freshman Jaycob Kolleda in the men's high jump (1.93 meters/6-feet-4), freshman Abby Wheeler in the women's high jump (1.52 meters/4-feet-11¾), and Morris in the men's triple jump (13.42 meters/44-feet-0½).
