Ashland University's women's soccer team stayed in a three-way tie atop the Great Midwest Athletic Conference table following a 1-0 win at Ohio Dominican on Saturday (Sept. 24) night.

In remaining in first place with Cedarville and Findlay, the Eagle women improve to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the league. The Panthers are 2-4-3, 2-2-2.

Ashland is 6-1 in the last seven games after an 0-2 start, and is 5-0-1 in the last six meetings with ODU.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The game's first 45 minutes ended scoreless, with the Eagles outshooting the Panthers, 7-1, and taking the only corner kick of the first half.
- In the 53rd minute, Ashland senior defender Rylie Howman broke the scoreless tie with her first goal since Sept. 28, 2018 at Ferris State. Another defender, junior Maddy Grabowski, assisted, her first as an Eagle.

THE WRAP-UP
- Senior goalkeeper Bri Rogers (6-3) needed just one save to earn her third clean sheet of the fall, and the 11th of her AU career.
- Ashland had 14 shots to ODU's four, and the Eagles took all seven corner kicks in the contest.
