Eagles Record Non-Conference Home Sweep For Ninth Straight Win

Ashland University's volleyball team got back on its sweep habit on Saturday (Sept. 24) afternoon against Salem at the Sherrill Hudson Court at Kates Gymnasium, taking a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-12) non-conference win from the Tigers.
 
The Eagles' ninth consecutive victory puts them at 12-5 overall, while Salem is 0-21. AU's win streak is the program's longest since a nine-matcher three years ago.
 
Ashland is 2-0 all-time against the Tigers.
 
THE WRAP-UP

• Sophomore outside hitters Makenna Belcher (.440 hitting percentage) and Sage Kissman (.458) each had a team-high 13 kills on Saturday, and freshman setter Elle McLoughlin racked up 39 assists and four service aces. Junior libero Katie Thompson finished with 15 digs.
