On Tuesday (Sept. 13) night at Ohio Dominican, Ashland University's volleyball team remained undefeated in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play, and in first place in the conference's South Division, following a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-20) win against the Panthers.

The Eagles, continuing to receive votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division II poll, are 7-5 overall and 3-0 in the league – and haven't lost a set in conference play so far. ODU is 4-8, 1-2.

Ashland is on a four-match winning streak overall, and has won the last five meetings with the Panthers.

WHAT HAPPENED
- After seeing his team take the first set fairly easily, Ashland head coach Kevin Foeman called a timeout with the Eagles trailing 21-15 in set No. 2. AU went on a 10-1 run the rest of the set to go up 2-0 in the match.
- AU had a season-high 20 block assists as a team, paced by freshman middle blocker Abby Stanford's six. The total was the team's highest in a single match since Sept. 14, 2019 at home vs. Findlay (22).
- Sophomore right-side hitter GraceAnn Hartman had a team-high 11 kills and hit .381, fifth-year setter Zoey Peck had 22 assists, and three Eagles recorded double-digit digs – junior libero Katie Thompson (13), Peck (12) and sophomore outside hitter Makenna Belcher (11).
