Men’s Tennis Blanks Kentucky Wesleyan On The Road

Box Score Thanks to a 5-0 road win on Saturday (April 9) against Kentucky Wesleyan, Ashland University's men's tennis team moves to 6-9 overall and 2-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
 
Ashland has won three of its last four matches.
 
The Panthers are 2-11, 0-5.
 
WHAT HAPPENED
  • Ashland's four singles victories came from freshman William Rassat at No. 2 (6-1, 6-2), senior Jordan Phelps at No. 3 (6-1, 6-0), senior Tche Kun Teng at No. 4 (6-0, 6-2), and freshman Fabian Bussard at No. 5 (6-0, 6-0).
  • The Eagles earned the doubles point by sweeping all three matches – senior Stuart Brdicka and Phelps at No. 1 (6-0), Bussard and sophomore Omar Prince at No. 2 (7-5), and Rassat and Teng at No. 3 (6-1).
 
UP NEXT
The Eagles will travel to Southern Indiana (8-6) for a non-conference match on Sunday (April 10) at 10:30 a.m.
